Ayalan smiled a bit, "That's quite nice of you to say the least."
He then took the question and tilted his head a bit as he sighed.
"Hm. Cutting in a bit deep already are you?"..."Her name was Ina. She was trained in the art of stealth from a young age, and I was trained all my life to fight as a warrior should."
"To say the least, in my world, stealth was the only way to stay alive."
He took another bite.
"..Why did you decide to take on the ruling of Tuono? The real reason. Not just the noble obvious one," he knew that Elysia was the noblest of the Donnerlupo line- but there had to be more behind that.

"You must have been close to her," she mused.
"I decided to rule Tuono because Tuono needed a ruler. One who wouldn't simply rule on tyranny and fear, but for the betterment of our country. Celtik, for obvious reasons, failed to do this. If anyone can repair the damage, make the people less afraid of their ruler and feel safe and confident in their homeland, it is me. And I intend to do that."

Ayalan looked across the table.
"Not really. She wasn't close to me at all. We've only actually seen each other four times in our lives."..He looked across to the left side of the room.
"Not so long for being my own sister."
However, then Ayalan leaned in to listen to Elysia's tale of forward movement.
"..Elysia, who else do you trust in your life?" Ayalan asked this question softly and seriously, as if he meant some sort of forlorn nature out of it.

"I trust myself. Who else do I need? I am a ruler, the born queen of Tuono."
Elysia had one more bite of food and chewed thoughtfully for a moment. "Though I suppose that question could be directed back at you. Who do you trust, other than your doppelganger? If you trust her at all..."

Ayalan looked up at her answer as he fiddled around with his food with one of his utensils, thinking for a bit on her answer and retort.
"I suppose I'm the same as you. I'm part of the Kishu, but we trust each other in a different sense. We rely on each other in battle, but not at every living moment. I have a loose relationship with a ninja and a one handed blade warrior. I have lost most of who I consider truly trust worthy."
Aya licked the inside of his cheek for a moment, and stood up.
"I suppose I have to answer that I trust the Queen of Tuono, for I wouldn't have approached you in my weakest state otherwise; Afterall, Amalia brought me here and I had friends in Chalybs...but here I am."
He stood, and looked out a nearby window, leaning against a pillar to take a break from his food.

"Then you are a fool," Elysia replied softly, "For trusting someone you know from only one experience. One that almost cost you your life."

Ayalan looked back with a smile.
"Sometimes all you need is one experience. Especially if its a life or death one."
He turned back around slowly, and leaned against the pillar again, shoulder against it a bit tightly.
"And afterall.. I've had my fair share of experience with the Donnerlupo family..it seems you are the most worthy of being trusted." He looked aside and sighed outward..
"And you know, foolish is what I've been called my whole life. I'm still happy though..I hope you can go forth and can be foolish for a bit..trust someone else so you don't have to have the burden of a whole country and to only have yourself..to..well..to take care of yourself."

"I have my servants to take care of me," she replied in an offhand manner.
Elysia stood. "You should return to bed to recover."

Ayalan stood straight, closing his eyes and rubbing his other arm. His charade of being pretty well off was over, and the pain started to come back.
"..I suppose you do have your servants. Yes." Ayalan started to walk toward the doors, saying nothing more at the moment besides this.
"..Elys-..Queen Donnerlupo. Aliquando et insanire jucundum est. Its what I live by. I suggest you try it sometime,"
He turned his eye to see her out of his peripheral, "I can tell you'd be a completely different, for the better, person if you just opened up a little bit more."
Aya bowed once, stating finally, "With all due respect of course. You are a gracious Queen and a good ruler to your people. But are you truly a friend of them? That's something I personally want to know..who you consider your friends...let me know sometime."
With that, he started on his way toward his room, holding his shoulder a bit.

Elysia did not respond to this, she simply signalled a servant to help Ayalan to his room and then retired for the night herself. She had a lot to think about.

And Ayalan had gone to his own room, back to being a mess by the time he reached his room with the help of the servant- he nodded graciously to the servant.
"Thank you."
He went in his room and laid upon the bed, holding onto his side and leg- he definitely felt some strain from being so injured trying to keep his composure.
Aya closed his eyes. The night was never kind to him, and he woke up multiple times, trying to pass the time with meaningless sleep.

It was very early the next morning when Elysia knocked again on the guest room Ayalan slept in; or at least, was supposed to be sleeping in. She was composed, although if one looked closely there were slight dark circles under her eyes showing she had not slept very well.

Ayalan had been pacing at this point, as he answered the door with a creak of the hinges, a yellow eye saw the seemingly tired Elysia.
"..Queen," he stated softly as he opened the door completely, rubbing his other eye, "What time is it even?..I barely see the sun rising." His own eyes, by mere observation, were just as tired as they always were- he sat down on the bed, holding his side gently, allowing her room to come in wherever she found fit.
He decided to let her talk to him first rather than ask why she was here.

"I do not know," she replied, "I did not think to check a clock."
She entered the room and sat down in a chair next to the bed, and then sighed. "As much as a loathe to admit this, what you said last night about having someone to trust has... Bothered me. To say the least." She frowned and continued, "I have always been able to depend on myself, and myself alone. However, if a truce is to be formed between Tuono and Chalybs, or an alliance or joint leadership... I find that I have little choice in the matter.
"So I have decided to trust you. Despite your actions prior to our first meeting you have been honest and answered my questions and even though you easily could have in the dining hall last night, I do not believe you intend to kill me, or do me harm."

Ayalan nodded at first, she seemed rather perturbed, as he listened with his eyes closed...
Then he looked up at Elysia with a bit of a smirk. "...Well that's good to hear.." He breathed in once and listened to Elysia, as he nodded with understanding..
"..Well then, no matter how hard it may have been to admit that..I appreciate your honesty, and agree to do whatever I can to keep your trust." He put a hand out toward her, as he spoke up again; "And Queen Donnerlupo..thank you."
Aya closed his eyes, allowing her to either complete this movement of joining together or rescind it, as he spoke up, "..and when we're done here..you should rest up." He said it with a tinge of concern.
