Ayalan laughed, moving himself over to the bed, the rasp was only light for his breathing at least.
He sat down, and closed his eyes, "Didn't know you'd care so much, Queen," a smirk came across his lips.
"It's reassuring to say the least. I suppose you're here to talk to me about more than these niceities." He stood up barely, and pulled out a chair for her at the table, before getting back to the bed, and laying down a bit more casually- it was comfortable.

Elysia sat and folded her hands in her lap, facing Aya. "I assume you asked to be brought here for a reason. I would like to hear it."

Ayalan laughed and sat up, holding a hand up with two fingers to make sure she didn't protest.
"I'll be alright, but at least you get straight to the point...basically I have a lot to do..and I trust you a bit more than anyone else I know- And as a ruler, you would know a kingdom cannot have a ruler who is unfit for the role." He cleared his throat of its raspiness for a moment.
"I wish to make a truce between our countries, our weapons and technology for your support, because the world is slowly shattering around us;" he started, before he continued, "And for your help in recuperating back to health in exchange for whatever I can do for you. Within reason."
He knew that kind of statement was troubling.

Elysia considered this for a moment. "So you want me to allow your recovery here, and to help rule Chalybs? What could you have to offer me in return? I have warriors already, and no need for more."

Ayalan folded his arms, as he cleared his throat, closing his eyes. "The better question is what I don't have. Between technology, truce for the sure to come wartime, all the way to the skill set of which I have acquired..."
He cracked his own neck for a bit, "..Let's say, what is it that You really need? Afterall, I know you have no reason to help me, but you spared me when I came with news of your family...I know a bit more about you than you'd be comfortable with."
Aya leaned back, "So..take your pick. You've got choices ranging from dealing with me personally to another country at your fingertips."

She ws quiet, thinking for a moment longer, then smiled. Only a small smile, but a smile still. "Yes, another country under my rule, perhaps new territory for Tuono. Or even a simple truce between the countries for the war you claim is coming. I can see the advantages to this. However, the particulars of this agreement must be settled. who would be the official leader of Chalybs; you or I? Would I simply be ruling from the shadows or openly controlling the lands and people? What power would I have, fettered or complete rule?"
"But this is a conversation for another time. I have not yet broken my fast, and I assume you have not been served your morning meal yet either. You will dine in here until the healer rules that you are well enough to leave this room."

Ayalan felt his lips purse as she went into detail- certainly she would gain control, and he would lose some.
But was Aya even a fit leader? He was born a lone wolf, an assassin, and life had taken from him over and over.
He felt an answer on his tongue before she stopped his advance as he smirked, noting a few things in his mind. "I suppose I cannot argue. Just know that whatever you decide you truly want in the end, I will work with you."
Now the time came for Aya to lay back down, as he sighed, staring at the ceiling. "So I suppose you'll be doing the royal thing and eating at a giant table by yourself, surrounded by guards?"
He didn't say it in a mean way though. More of in a melancholy way; as if the glamor of ruling never appealed to himself.

She raised an eyebrow at him, "Are my eating habits of consequence to you?"

He smirked and folded his arms, a toothy grin, "Invite a friend sometime. It becomes far more enjoyable."
Ayalan closed his eyes, and yawned a bit. "I mean, in the end, what's the harm in getting to know someone?"
A smirk formed on his lips.

Her face turned cold, "I never said I ate alone. Perhaps you are projecting your own issues onto others, Ayalan Invargas." She stood and left the room, pausing only to order the servant outside his room to bring their guest his meal.

Ayalan smiled a bit as she seemingly grew angry or somehow otherwise, as he nodded.
Pretty keen afterall...
He stood up and paced the room once or twice, as he put his own hand on his chin, wondering where his observation could have gone wrong if it indeed had.
Aya closed his eyes with a smirk, realizing the answer in his own mind as he leaned against the doorframe of the room, waiting for Elysia to leave.
He closed his eyes, "Say, you." He spoke toward one of the servants.
"I need you to do me a favor. It's a small favor..." He whispered it out in case there had been an Elysia prying about.

The servant eyed Ayalan suspiciously but nodded after a moment and whispered back to him the way to get to what he wanted to find and then went to get his meal like the Queen had ordered.

Aya nodded and gave the servant a nod of his head in appreciation; from here, he only had to wait for the right time. It approached swiftly, and when the time had come, Elysia wouldn't have been able to see it coming, but he laid in shadow, knowing for the right time to string his attack.
He adjusted his armor, and kept his eyes closed- his ears were his guide now.

It was several long hours before Elysia finished her duties for the day. She entered the dining hall accompanied by a servant who pulled out a chair at the head of the table for her. She sat and nodded to dismiss him to get her meal. After he left she sighed and seemed to relax a bit.
