Falcon's Shadow *Plot thread 3.1*

[Monthu]

"Well, if we're spreading secrets, I have a tattoo on my back. The words of a famous general called 'Yi'. 'If you can fight; fight. If you can't fight; defend. If you can't defend; flee. If you can't flee; surrender. If you can't surrender; die.' Rather fitting at the moment don't you think." He gave her a smile before holding out his hand.

"Maeve Powell. Can we fight?"

[Bast]

"Lü Jin. We'll not give up until we've tried." She took the hand, returning his smile with her best.

[Monthu]

He nocked an arrow and gave a firm nod.

"Considering this is our last stand, I really wish I could have a donut right now... I don't know why, I just hate knowing that somewhere, someone is enjoying a donut... Well! I hope they choke on it! You get the hand you're dealt I suppose, the luck of the draw." He looked across at Maeve.

"Bassy. I'd be honoured if you'd help me show these freaks how we kick ass back on Earth." Admittedly, his accent made the sentence sound more humerus than serious, but he could roll with that.

[Bast]

She slipped open a fan, holding it coyly up to her mouth so it caught the light of the magical effects raining upon the battlefield, just enough to show that the edge was sheathed in metal sharper than Monthu's sharpest arrow.

"With pleasure," she replied, eyes sparkling with mischief.

[Monthu]

"Oho..." He said with a smirk. "That's sly... I like it..."

With that, he burst forth from cover and instantly nocked two of his Awl pike arrows and let fly towards Riliath, before advancing forwards and quickly crouching down and launching explosive arrows towards Gensayce. Reaching back, he threw his tazer arrow into the air and standing up, he spun around. Swinging his bow, it caught the arrow as it fell down, allowing him to instantly pull the string, and launch it upwards right towards Alessia.

"Ra!" He called "Is that thing set yet?!"

[Navarre]

A beam of light appeared near the ball of fire, as Navarre teleported from the space station. Navarre was about to shout something cheesy, however he notice a man in a black garb putting something into the ground. So Navarre ran to the man on the ground, and held out his sheathed sword.
"I'd stop if I were you."

[Ulysses Kondo]

The man didn't even look up at Navarre, he just did a sweepkick and then pushed Navarre away from the siphon. Set stood up and held the bazooka right at Navarre's face then Set said, "... You... How did you get here?" He asked . Set started to charge up his bazooka, about to blow Navarre to bits. Set looked over and there was mana gathering around the device. Set stop charging his bazooka, and then pulls out a device, "Time to go." Set said as he opened a portal, and walked through. It shut off after he was walked though it.

[Ra]

Ra dived out the way of the phoenix, though some of his clothes got a bit charred. Ra stood up, and looked at his pocket watch. "It should be ignited now..." Then a massive explosive happened behind him, "Good ol' Set." Ra put his sword to the side, "You should have just walked away." He turn turned around, and opened a portal, "Everyone get in." He got ready to defend them getting away.

[Monthu]

Monthu took up his position beside Raand started launching arrows at every hero and Kishu he could see. Helping Ra hold them off whilst the others retreated.

"Bassy!" He called, launching another arrow. "Come on! Time to go!"

[Bast]

"Coming!" she called, passing by him and heading towards the portal. "If you die covering our retreat, I will make you regret it!"

[Ma'at]

Ma'at was much too far to make that portal, but her intentions were set in stone- she stood up, making sure that her teammates were going- she could only hold up her spear and speak behind the warriors, "Over here! If you want a fight, let's have a fight."

As a spear user, she was bedazzled by Gensayce and Riliath's movements and abilities, but she wasn't scared, not at all.

Rather, she simply thought of those she left behind, and she used her powers to see through everyone's intentions; she had her spear up and ready, ushering Ra and the others to get out with a fierce nod- she would either catch up later, or die now, because if they had stayed any longer, this battle would get ugly for their own side- the time was needed.

She breathed in and out, "...Come on then. I'm ready."

[Gensayce Zidjiai]

Riliath originally went to attack the woman whom had been left behind, but Gensayce held out a hand for him to halt. She used a spear, he could see that much, and Riliath's larger halberd would easily outreach her. Looking at his own spear, he took a step forwards towards her and took a defensive position, staring across at his opponent with a frown, he looked every bit a deity with his glowing aura, crystal armor and white hair.

"Is this how you wish to go..?"[/b] he asked, his voice taking on two tones, one was his usual and the other was slightly higher pitched "You stand with a spear in hand, defending the retreat of your allies. You are every bit a warrior, and I respect that." Spinning his spear in the palm of his hand, he slipped it almost casually into his palms and pointed it across at Ma'at.

"You will die here if you stand against me. I believe that we both know that, especially considering that even if you fell me, my friends will not leave my death un-avenged. As such, I wish you to know this. You stand against me with all the bravery of my leader, Roxa. All the strength of my comrade, Riliath. All the sincerity of Lady Alessia. If you fall here today, I will make sure your remains are interred with honor."

Holding his spear at his side, he bowed to his opponent, before holding his weapon forth, and charging.

[Monthu]

Monthu had an arrow nocked, and almost launched it in the direction of the enemies spear-wielder who appeared to be leading this little group. But then he noticed Ma'at's stance, she planned to fight him to cover their retreat. He looked down at his arrow and relaxed the string, before placing it back within the quiver and slinging the bow over his shoulder. Facing Ma'at and her opponent, he gave her a quick salute.

"Good luck. One arrow can change the world."

With that, he ran through the portal, after the others.

[Ma'at]

Ma'at stared at the near deity of a man with his spear in hand- she knew she was outclassed and outnumbered, but that didn't stop her stance, instead she planted her feet, going over all of her training in an instant.

She did not falter when Riliath nearly came in, because she was much better with dodging than she could be with a straight double side spear- her weapon simply was made for piercing, so she knew that her attacks would have to count.

Monthu had left, and the others were sure to follow, but Ma'at simply closed her eyes as Gensayce spoke to her- she felt honored, as she spoke up.."You fight for a justice greater than that of our own. You care for your friends, and you desire nothing more than to eventually bring about hope to the land- peace is unattainable, but you fight for it because you know that the world is in turmoil..You have someone to fight for..Many people. And for that, you will win this battle today. However. I do not do this for the sake of my allies entirely. I do this because..their lives mean more than mine ever will. I'm a judge. Even if you fell me today, I'll be the one you see when it is time to go to heaven or hell."

She bowed in return, "..I'll be sure to give you fair judgment."

Ma'at rushed in return, knowing that his speed was faster, so to back away would be useless- she instead tried to deflect his blow, reaching out a hand with a mesmerizing aura, she guided her hand to want to touch his forehead it seemed above all else- whether this was fatal or not was unknown as of this point.

[Gensayce Zidjiai]

Two figures, both embodiment's of justice and honor respectfully, charged at one another.

Gensayce saw Ma'at reach out with her hand and frowned, he would be taking no chances in this battle. As he was running he leaped upwards into the air, leaving a small trail of dust as he went, before he started to plummet back down towards the ground. He was aiming for fatal blows, bringing his edged spear down towards Ma'at, if she was to die here today, he would not let her suffer.

"In the name of my Lord! Roxa Hiaten!"
