Falcon's Shadow *Plot thread 3.1*

[Ma'at]

Ma'at cursed herself for not being more proficient, however, her style was not to be taken lightly- she watched him jump high, and quickly thought of all she COULD do.

She raised her spear and got ready to block, as she dodged away- her spear snapped in two and the strike hit her leg- she winced and seethed in pain, his spear causing quite a laceration before she stood straight and switched from Spear work to Kali work, two sticks, one bladed one not, in each hand.

"..I..will not allow you to defeat me..without knowing the truth!"

She raised her hands again in defiance, her movements indicated she was ready to fight..this was the second injury she had ever received in her life.

[Gensayce Zidjiai]

Gensayce took a step back and observed her new stance. With such a deep cut in her leg, he had no doubt that his mobility advantage had been consolidated and the battle was his. But she could now strike from two sides thanks to her having a weapon in each hand whereas he could only strike one side per swing. There was distance however, his spear now granted him the longer reach which would be an invaluable advantage in the coming battle, but she also spoke of some apparent 'truth' which piqued his interest.

"What is this 'truth' that you speak of?"[/b] he asked, taking a step back hoping to appear to be making more distance and slacken his opponents defence. All this was but a ruse, for he slid his right hand towards the bottom of his spears shaft, all it would take would be for him to take one step forwards and thrust out with his right arm, and his spear would, hopefully, catch Ma'at by surprise. He was taking a risk, with such a slack grip on his weapon, he would be easy to disarm.

"There is but one truth here. Your allies bring chaos to my world, and I, with every fibre of honor in my being, will fulfill my duty to defend this land. This assault has been foreseen by my Lord, he knows whence you came from and where you go next, and by his orders, you will fail."[/b] He couldn't help but smile. "But, you already know that, and you stare death openly in the face. I will not sway or swoon from my cause, so why do you speak so of truths?"[/b]

[Ma'at]

Ma'at at this point stood still, trying not to move her injured leg- she had her stick up, the spear blade on the back end, ready to deliver any blow it needed to- she simply spoke as she advanced once, slowly, closing her one eye to indicate it hurt.

"...The truth I speak of...is more than you could ever imagine- This is not just chaos..this is a beginning. Even if you defeat all of these invaders, there is an inevitability...and you must see it for yourself...and as for your lord..."

She raised back her stick based hand, "Death cannot stop the will of the world, for bodies are just puppets for the truth to come forth!" She dropped her spear based weapon in order to touch Gensayce- any part of him, hoping he would deflect her stick based weapon and focus on it instead of her hand.

[Gensayce Zidjiai]

Gensayce swung his spear to the side and parried away the attack from the stick, not bothering at the moment to worry about her hand. His original intention had been to parry away her first strike and then leap away from her touch, but his movements were too slow and it seemed as though time slowed down as Ma'at's hand briefly brushed against his neck.

[Ra]

Ra shouted towards Ma'at, for he was the last member there, "Ma'at! Are you really disobeying my order, and staying behind?" He shouted as he sword was still ready for a strike.

[Ma'at]

Ma'at's eyes glowed a subtle shade of purple into Gensayce's soul, he suddenly saw her life the last few years, ranging from convictions that didn't help her sleep at night to people always looking down on her- the rage of people at home always putting down justice and the law.

Unfortunately she couldn't control what he could see, but she had had enough, as he saw jumbled but truthful images of the documentation she had been given, and the fact that her own views on the mission were skewed- she felt like this goal was evil, or at least misguided and going to be used for the wrong intentions entirely- but most importantly, it seemed that Ma'at had lost her strength to get this point across- but he could see the wrong in the hearts of the people she had mistrusted, and the better intentions of those she Did trust, as she pushed the spear aside tiredly, and attacked again with the arm holding a stick.

"You don't give orders! I am the protector of order- you answer to me in the end!" Her strikes become feral, her strength quickly leaving her.

[Ra]

"It is because soldiers like me that your order exist. I am the only reason your order has meaning. If you believe that you are the protector of order, then protect it." Ra said as he walked into the portal. The portal shut behind him, locking Ma'at here to protect her order.

[Gensayce Zidjiai]

Gensayce's eyes widened at all of the images that filled his head, he saw everything before him, the neglect that Ma'at had suffered, the justice that she had done, the general objective of their mission and her own personal views on it, her opinions on the people around her, everything. Tie this in with the brief conversation between Ma'at and Ra, and everything suddenly seemed to tie together and make sense.

As the enemy fled, Gensayce noticed the feral, tired fighting style of Ma'at and couldn't help but pity her. It seemed she was really going to fight him to the death despite her worries on the morality of her mission. As promised, he planned to make it quick.

Taking a short leap backwards, Gensayce slid his hand back to the bottom of his spears shaft. "I shall honor your justice and uphold order on this planet, in your stead." he said as he thrust his spear forth, towards his opponent.

[Ma'at]

Ma'at had smiled as she got her point through by the fazed look on Gensayce's face- she then watched the spear, the huge range, and quickly sidestepped in order to dodge the spear, but the strike was true through her arm as she winced in pain and fell to her knees, grasping the spear, never before feeling this pain.

She quickly passed out, blood loss was coming on its way, but she smiled, slumping against Gensayce's leg. She was alive, but not well.

In her mind, she was already on her way to judging angels and demons, and that Gensayce's words were her final good feelings before leaving this planet.

She was wrong for once however...

[Yeligar Maelstrom]

"Hold up Gensayce!" Yeligar said as he came towards Ma'at after being teleported from the station to Roccia. "We need her alive!" He put picked her up and tried to prepare her for her to be healed. "Isis, I need you to start healing her!" Yeligar started to attend some of the wounds so that the bleeding would stop at least. This wasn't his forte, but he can help out Isis.

[Isis]

"Yes, Yeligar." Isis said as she teleported to Roccia. She thought that the station was amazing, but someone needed her help. She put her hands out to start healing, but it didn't work. "Oh no... It's not working..." She tried again, but it didn't work.
"Relax Isis" Yeligar said as he put his hand on hers. "Just calm down."
Isis felt different when Yeligar put his hands on her hands, all most like he did make her calm, and then she remembers her first memory of her and Yeligar. It made her feel... Happy.
When she felt that happiness, she was able to start the healing spell and started to heal Ma'at.
"It's working!"

[Gensayce Zidjiai]

Gensayce took a step back and held his spear behind his back, allowing the healer to get to work whilst he stopped channelling his energies. His armour slowly melted back to its original state, and his hair changed back to it's brown colour before falling behind his back and his aura faded away. Reaching into his breastplate, he pulled out a smal band with which he tied his hair back. With that done he simply sat upon the dusty ground, watching Isis get to work.

He was completely spent.

[Ma'at]

Ma'at's wounds did heal, albeit, she still was achy and pained, her eyes did not open however, she was still in shock, but she wouldn't bleed out at this rate, her chest rose with a bit more air in her breaths.

However as it were, Ma'at simply was dreaming away about paradise- and when she would wake up, she'd be back here.

Who knows how she would feel about that.
