"Yes! Thanks for helping Rin!" I snagged the ticket and deposited it into my pocket. "Now, let's get back to the circus! We have to show that guy off." I had as I charged back in the direction we came, not stopping to let Rin down until we got there. "Just us two." I said to the man, holding out my ticket. "Alright kids, just make sure you behave." The man said, letting us inside. "Wow!" I exclaimed as I walked in. "Look at all the color!"

"C-colors..." Reds, whites, greens... There were so many... And each one began swirling into the next. My body goes limp, just a bit, as I space into the world of colors that encased me. Everything is usually so gray... Each one of these colors was almost taunting me, because I never see it... My head rested on his as I shudder back into reality. "Yeah.. Lots of colors."

"Look Rin, look at that!" I point over to a large metal contraption that was playing music. There were what seemed to be metal horses moving along the inside, with children around our age riding them. "Think we can go on that?" I ask, pulling her in that direction regardless. "Looks like there's a line. Let's go!" I say, pulling her with me to the back of the line.

"Yep. Thanks for letting me choose." Motion sickness wasn't my favorite thing. That thing spins around, and plays creepy music. "How long are we going to have to wait, Dai?"

"Not long, probably." I say nonchalantly. We begin moving towards the thing, pretty quickly actually. "See, look. I think we might get on this round!" I say, as we close the distance to the front of the line. As we were about to get on, the man admitting people stopped us. "Sorry, kiddos. You're on next time." "That's ok." I responded. Turning to Rin, I take her sleeves again. "Well, it may take a bit longer now... But at least we get first pick!" I said with a smile, trying to keep her hopes up.

Lazy gaze. Lazy, annoyed gaze everywhere. "Fine. Whatever you say." I didn't look at him. Doing that would have made me smile. It always did. Sometimes I question how I ever got along without him... I guess that was when I started getting consumed by painting, instead of just doing it for fun.

"Look, it's slowing down! That means we're on soon!" True to my word, the machine slowed to a halt, and the children riding got off. "Ok, next riders please step up." "Our turn Rin!" I cried cheerily, taking her by the sleeve and dragging her onto the machine. "Ok, since I dragged you up here, you can pick which horse we ride!"

I scanned the circle of horses. They were all glossy and creepy. Back then, these sort of things might have scared me if I wasn't so detached from "reality." "That one." Since I can't point, I walked over to a brown horse. It was one of the few that didn't have a horn on its head. It had a brilliant black-painted mane. "...I'd like to paint one of these, one day..."

"Yeah! You should paint a whole alleyway with a replica of this whole machine!" I replied as I helped her onto the horse. "Need me to ride with you?" I asked innocently, realizing that she may not be able to hold onto the ride on her own.

"...Yes." I say, almost reluctantly. But we both knew I couldn't hang on. Painting a whole alleyway as this dumb machine? No thanks. It was weird. That's what I thought at the time... "Just hurry and get on."

"Right." I said as I clambered on behind her. "I think it's starting!" The machine lurched to a start as I reached around Rin to hold onto the support for the horse. "Wow, this is awesome! How are you feeling Rin?" I asked, wanting to make sure she was comfortable.

"...Sick. Very sick..." I learned that day I get motion sickness from overly-bright colors spinning around in circles. I doubt the people running the machine enjoyed the mess I left them to clean up... "Can we just... go somewhere else, Dai...?"

"Of course we can!" I said as we jumped off the horse. "Now that the ride is over, that is." I said with a smirk. Wandering out of the exit with Rin, I bumped her with my elbow as to get her attention. "You can go ahead and lead me around next, seeing as I dragged you onto that machine. Wherever you want to go!" I told her, standing still so that I could listen for once.

"I... er..." Looking around, the whole place interested me, despite the fact that if I had any breakfast, it would be all over that ride. "That one. I want that one." I say, almost like a zombie, and began pacing off until I found what I desired. This machine was very tall, and had little carriages that went up slowly in a circle, very high, and gradually came down. "That one looks... fun..."

"Ooh, good call! I noticed this one on that last machine. And the line looks short too!" I responded, following right behind her. "I wonder if we'll be able to see the whole island from up there." I murmur, half to myself and half to Rin. "After this, do you want to look around for some food? I wonder what they serve here... I hope they have sweets!" I ramble on, feeling my stomach begin to growl.
