"Oh wonderful!" Monthu sighed as The Other returned. Un-nocking his arrow, he slipped it back into its quiver, and slung the bow over his shoulder. He gave a nod towards Shin in thanks for his help and gave a small stretch. "The prodigal son finally returns!" He said with a chuckle as he gave himself a quick check over for injuries. He knew that most of the blood coating his arms wasn't his own, but he knew that if you had blood on you, you should definitely check to make sure that it isn't mixing with your own. To his own relief, he was fine.
He wandered over to Andy's position with a small 'hm?' before looking down at the tracks before him. He narrowed his eyes and squatted down low into the snow. He looked up and down as far as he could see the tracks, and then removed his right glove. He touched two fingers into the snow and found that rather than being relatively dry and melting as snow usually is, it was actually damp. Plus, given the depth and size of the print despite the storm, he quickly came to a conclusion as he stood up straight.
"The prints are recent." He said. "And they're neat... They don't look like they came from whatever attacked us."

Andy frowned, that would mean either these prints happened just shortly before the fight...or someone made their way through the fight. Questions aside, it seemed they found something to follow...
A brief walk led them away from the town, moving to the sides of large glaciers that cut off the sunlight that was just starting to appear from the storm. As they continued their walking they found themselves in front of a part of the large glacier...where the prints vanished into it.
Prints vanishing into a seemly solid wall?
"There's a door here," Andy said, looking at the prints leading into the glacier. "Question is....what kind of door, solid? A portal? What?"

"Well well, look at that. Not a single one of you turned into a icicle while I was gone. It even looks like you had company too. So, are you mortals finally ready to move on? I don't think there's anything here, at least there isn't anymore." He snickered to himself as he thought of the rubble once called a town.
Yet the rest of the kids seemingly were on to something more important than The Other's musings, and left with nothing else to do he decided to follow along on their little tracking game. Finally ending up at a huge glacier The Other sighed and groaned. "Really little boy, don't you know anything about doors? The first thing you should always do is knock." Imitating the act of rolling up his sleeves the Other moved up to the glacier, wound back his fist and punched it with all of his might at the area Andy seemed so interested in.

The following sound could be described as the comic book sound effect 'Kapwing!' as a blue light shimmered right where the Other had punched, sending ripples over this blue like sheen and then vanished in the air. Leaving no visible marks over the sheet of ice.
"Magic." Andy sighed, "Something's being protected here..."
He glanced at the Other for a moment, "I don't suppose your little side endeavor gave you any information useful?"

Jasmine blinked up at the door as the Other had hit it.
'A magic seal? Something protecting it, hmm...' she thought as her curiosity took her towards the wall!door, reaching her hand out to feel the wall. It was quite the stretch in her abilities but she was curious to find out if there was anything she could do to help.

The Other pulled back his hand, quite surprised at how unrelenting the icicle had proven to be. Giving a quiet chuckle to himself he shook his head and turned his back from the massive wall of ice.
"ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!" Whirling around with a bloodcurdling roar he gave a flurry of powerful blows to the wall, his arm shapeshifting to form all manner of protrusions, yet each bouncing off just as harmlessly as the last. When at last his fierce roar ended he only glared at the wall before muttering, "Enjoy your perceived victory now, wall. Your time shall come, mark my words."
Reluctantly turning away in defeat to face Andy he stroked his chin as he thought over his transgressions of the last hour. "Let's see, I learnt that you mortals are no fun without your eyes, I learnt that whoever wanted us out here has a very low opinion of my power...hmmm... Oh!" Bending down to once more bring himself down to Andy's level his maw once more broke out in a smarmy toothy grin. "Maybe I did learn something, but then, I seem to recall a certain mouthy mortal saying that you all didn't need me. Now..." Playfully tapping his finger against his chin as he stared upwards aimlessly, The Other pretended to be lost in thought. "...maybe if that mortal were to apologize and admit my excellence I could remember that little detail. What do you all think?"

"Ieee!" Jasmine shrieked and leaped back as The Other attacked the wall angrily, watching blankly as he pounded away at it and finally admitting defeat to it. She stuffed her hands into her large sleeves to keep warm and resumed her normal position by Andy as she contemplated the properties of the wall. If her grandmother were here, she'd probably have a better idea, maybe a better spell.
Her eyebrow raised as the Other got into Andy's face about rudeness. This sparked something disappointing in her, though towards Andy and whatsisname from earlier, a particular conversation she'd just had with them when The Other originally left the group.
'I warned them! I can't believe this...'
"Remember that conversation we had about being rude, boys? Even if you don't like or fully trust someone?" she spoke politely enough, though her tone and look on her face and the way she crossed her arms gave that motherly "I TOLD YOU SO" appearance.
"I actually agree with him."
Yes, she said it.

Andy turned to Jasmine, "Yes...I noticed you have been doing a lot of agreeing lately..."
A strangely cryptic note left hanging before he adjusted himself back to the Other, rolling his eyes briefly before sighing to himself. "I am sorry for the way I acted earlier, if his Excellence would happen to share anything he might have learned I would be more lenient in the future to hear him out."

What? What was that supposed to mean?! It wasn't her fault she was right and he was being an obnoxious twat and had it come back to kick him in the...oh dear...
She'd seen this before. Briefly so, but her father acted much in the same towards her mother at several points--granted, her father had the tendency to get mad and yell instead. Jasmine really wanted to argue, she really, truly did but also knew that at a time like this it wouldn't do anyone any good. It wasn't good for the group, it wasn't good for her and Andy, their relationship, everything.
But she sure as hell wasn't going to be taking this! So she practiced exactly as her mother preached. She kept her arms crossed, her eyebrow raised and the other narrowed threateningly and her lip protruded out in that "you REALLY wanna get into this?" kind of manner.
"Is that so, Mr. Jammer?" was all she said with a calm breath, and she held that daring stare. Nothing more to say right now, and certainly nothing less!

Ahhh, it is truly the little victories that are most worth savouring. Patting Andy enthusiastically on the head he hopped to his feet and held his arms out in an benevolent gesture towards the group. "Yes young mortals learn from the fire head and see how easily simple compliance will reward you. I did indeed learn something, from an annoying vision that repeated every time I killed one of the many human husks that were all around me." Giving a quick recount of the details of the vision to the group he stood and spoke with a regal finesse that was so different from his usual mannerisms that it was almost creepier than his usual shtick.
"And lo, the figure seemed most displeased by the lack of the discovery of this 500 year old...uh, thing." With a thoughtful pause he scratched inside his head. "Hm, now that I say it aloud that doesn't really seem so helpful. You don't think this hidden thing is in this big hunk of ice is it?" He asked Andy, snapping back to his usual lax and overly familiar tone so fast it could have given everyone whiplash.

Andy rolled his eyes when Other wasn't looking, but paid strange attention at a particular detail the Other mentioned.
500 hundred years ago...thats when I was... Andy had a nagging feeling that writing it off as a coincidence was not the best thing to do, what would these guys be looking for a relic over five hundred years old? Is it connected to this barrier as the Other suggested? There were no other leads to go on...
"Hmm...may as well look, someone went through a great deal to keep this sealed. See if we can find something, a clue that can give us an idea on how to shut this barrier down." he said, looking around the glacier and trees on the side. Out of the corner of his eyes he did see something, it nearly blended into the snow if not for a small black crack in the stone. It was a large white stone, like a gravestone, and it even held markings. On closer inspection it was a bit faded...but some words could be made out:
"In accordance with the treaty with Ignis..............rom the long war with the emo -Sa or Duo..............his artifact shall be locked here to prevent...............only one of royal Ghiaccio or Ignis blood as ...cordin to the pact shall open it."
It took Andy a few reads to make sense of it and even then it wasn't very helpful.
"Duo...his artifact shall be locked here..."

"What's locked here?" Jasmine blinked, watching as Andy and The Other had their...'moment' she'd call it, mentally rolling her own eyes watching them respond to each other the way they did. She didn't make to follow Andy as closely as before as he walked around the area and found the stone, but she did watch and listen to anything he had to share.
And it appears he had indeed found something. Looks like they really did have to find a way into this wall afterall.
"Oooh, did we find a key in the snow?" she tilted her head to the side, as derpy of a question it was, you never really knew. Obviously physical force wasn't breaking into it.

Curiosity caught the Other as Andy examined the small marker in the snow, drawing him to look over Andy's shoulder and scan the broken text.
"Such gibberish. This is our clue?" The Other grimaced as he shot Andy a dirty look. Piecing together what little he could he arrived at a hasty conclusion. "Well, looks like we gotta find a royal to bleed out to get our hands on Duo's toy. Don't suppose any of you are secretly royalty eh?" The joke amused him. To think that such little mortals could be worthy of rule was enough to send a smirk across his gruesome lips.

Andy wasn't sure if they had to literally bleed out someone to get the door open, but...thats when an idea hit him, on the matter of royalty. It was a long shot...and he didn't even know he was correct on the matter... but he walked away from the tablet and two the spot in the wall where Other threw his fists at.
Could this really be that simple? he wondered, hesitantly lifting his hand and pressing it on the spot. For a second the same magic wave shimmered...and then vanished, a large rumbling occurred and the ice door split apart and beckoned them into a large cave.

Oh, apparently Andy was the key...useful enough! Probably even moreso!
At the same time, Jasmine couldn't help but smirk to The Other and his questions of one of them being 'secret royalty'.
"Apparently so, Lord Other. Now let's all get on with it kindly so," she motioned to go into the cave, her tone being used as a bit of a warning to all party members.
