Hala simply nodded, taking a deep breath as she watched Yeligar get up and step out. She stole a quick glance around the room before she rose from her own seat with teacup in hand and walked over to the window, staring outside and taking a slow sip from her cup.

Vincent watched the sad exchange between the two friends, never saying anything himself the whole time. He kept to the corner of the room, almost as though he were trying to make himself invisible, it wouldn't be good for him to get involved he thought...
He frowned watching Yeligar leave. He couldn't imagine what he had to be feeling right now, especially since he was sending letters to her...
Vincent bit his lip and looked to Hala as she moved from her seat and his heart did a sickening flip inside of him; here he was happily engaged, he and the girl he loved were going to be married while Yeligar's was dead...it was a horrid thought to Vincent, to even try to imagine what if he had been told that Hala was dead instead--he couldn't take it. It was because he himself couldn't stand to even imagine it that it made him feel even worse for Yeligar who was actually living it.
With a heavy sigh Vincent approached the front door, ready to grab for it and follow Yeligar but hesitating. If it were him, he'd probably want to be alone, too. At the same time, though...

"Leave him be, Vincent," Hala's voice cut in through the awkward silence, her eyes still fixated on the scene of grass blowing outside the window. She'd noticed the wind was starting to pick up a little, only too much of a sign to get the laundry in right away whether it was fully dry or not; a storm was on its way, she was certain.
"Best do as he says, he knows what'll make him feel better."

Vincent looked at Hala, his expression sombre and his hand still resting on the doorknob. After a long moment he pulled back from it and slipped both hands into his pockets, nodding slowly.
"Five minutes," he quietly said as he took a seat in an armchair in the corner, by one of the Fraus girls' many bookshelves. The best he could think of to do was to give Yeligar a few moments alone, then go check on him.

Yeligar walked around the edge of the lake. He found a small trail and ponder. He thought how life may have been different if he asked Eva out earlier. If he did, maybe she would live, and... "WHY!?!?!?" He shouted into the sky. The sky then started to snow, since it was winter. He fell to his knees and started to pound the ground viciously. After a while, he stopped his knuckles were bleeding. He then switched hands and started to punch the ground with the other hand.

"Keep hitting the ground like that and soon enough you'll have no hand. Then who's going to do all the bossing around?"
Vincent waited patiently for the few minutes that he warned Hala before stepping outside to find Yeligar. His outburst had been a bit of a startling one at first, but expected nonetheless. Vincent stopped a few feet away from the man on the ground, hands still in his pockets and tried to give him a little space yet, his own personal bubble.

"My hands will heal." He said, as he stopped, and stood up. "So, what are you going to do? Tell me everything is going to be ok, or something?"

"Not really. If I were you I'd be upset too, and ready to punch out anyone who tried to come show me pity," Vincent pulled his hands out, spreading his arms in a way to present himself standing there several feet away from Yeligar, "which as you can see, makes me take precautions."
His hands moved to rest on his hips and despite the chilling wind that blew over the two men, as well as the biting snow that accompanied it, Vincent never flinched. His eyes stared hard into Yeligar's, his face something indescribable in emotion.
"It's as you make of it, remember, and take a lesson from it. Will you make it the end of your world, or will you embrace something from it and change your own life? Crying can't bring a person back to life, but it sure as hell can make us angry and sad. As my own dad said, we can't dwell on the past because it's important for us to move forward and focus on what's next; what's next will be what determines our future."

"I don't know." He said, "I mean she was important to me, like you and Hala are. I just really never thought that I would have anyone that was important me. I was an orphan, so I was always taught it is a cut-throat world."

"I wish I could say I understand, but sadly the closest I could get is uh...hmm. I don't really know, actually. I never thought I'd get too close to anyone, either, but you and I clearly grew up in different environments."
Vincent shrugged, still keeping his distance yet as he continued, "but the question still remains--what does the Warlord General Yeligar Maelstrom do about this? I know you hate to hear it, but she's not coming back. Call me what you want, but it's a fact you have to face and you have a greater job ahead of you than worrying about something you can't fix."

"I am going to have to lead the armies, what else can I do?" He asked, "I mean I have a job, and I can't stop doing that."

"That's true. You set a good example for them, too. Losing a loved one is a horrible thing to happen to anyone and it shows a greater strength in a person than waving a battleaxe ever can," Vincent smiled, tilting his head to the side, "...it'll still take time to get over, but it's important to not lose focus. It'd also be a good idea to get inside before the snowstorm hits us pretty hard..."

"Oh, you worry like a widow." He said as he pulled out his lance. He pressed the red blade, and a ball was shot out of it, and the sun came out. "There, happy?"

Vincent's eyebrow raised as the sun came out and made everything warm and calm again. He looked around confusedly before turning his attention back to Yeligar, his expression a very quizzical one indeed.
"Since when the hell could you control the weather?!" was the only thing he spat out, despite him initially wanting to comment on Yeligar calling him a widow.

"For like a month. Tempesta is a bitch to work with, but she finally started to trust me with some of her powers. All I can do now is to make sunny, but soon I will be able to make it rain, and snow." He said as he walked past Vincent.
