"Yes. Unfortunately, this one won't be as quick as the previous. His tribe has a history of invading lands they want and being forced back. It's strange now, that they would appeal for the lands instead of invading... It could even be called concerning."

Ayalan put his arms around himself, thinking.
"It seems this person needs something of a negotiation to leave you alone, or a complete shut out to be forced into exile.." Aya mused a bit.
"Well, why don't we figure out the best course of action along the way?..what do You think?" Aya smiled a bit, watching her now, not really sure how to handle a situation like this- he wasn't a good leader like Elysia was; he only knew the basic options at hand.

"This tribe is a good enough portion of Tuono that I would dread exiling them, and Tuono would face serious dangerof them attacking from retribution if I did. They need to leave this meeting feeling as though they've gained something, but I cannot simply hand over lands that are not theirs."
"I must negotiate without making it obvious that I am negotiating."

Ayalan blinked for a moment as he spoke, "Why not give them Chalybian housing for the land they have for themselves, so they can create a smaller community for themselves, upon which you lay your influence?"
He folded his arms, "The housing is tough, and won't go down easily, and they're luxurious- they could be built by the end of the month too." Aya cleared his throat, "If we are allies, afterall, I need to help you as much as you could help me."

Elysia thought about this for a moment. "That is a very good idea, I hadn't considered it, I admit. But there is still no way to ensure they will not try to sieze other lands still, if only out of pride. The housing is a great step towards a possible agreement, but.. Perhaps a military guard on their lands? To protect them, and prevent and invasions upon other tribes lands. They would, no doubt, not like that, but it is a way to keep my influence there strong, and let them know their actions, positive or negative, will not be unanswered."

Ayalan extended a hand, "Independence of a tribe cannot come unless their forces are larger than the enemy's, or they know more than you do about the land. Considering that they're a smaller tribe, I imagine the king and queen of two different countries will make them lose desire to move in, and my prospects for a gift of that magnitude in a short time will be a justified desire to lay down their arms and let you have the chance to see their true intentions in the end."
He then returned his hand, "But that's my plan. I don't want to push a plan upon you." Aya looked aside as the carriage had been well on its way.
"Let's go ahead and see what you'd like to do, Elysia. I imagine you have a much better plan?"

"My plans consisted mainly of warnings and threats. I do not want to reward their aggression. But I admit your plan is a good one. A gift on the heels of a threat will certainly seem generous. And hopefully encourage them to stop trying to take what does not belong to them."

Ayalan had his hand on his chin still, stroking it a few times before speaking up, "Then you have my support."
He looked aside, "I'll let you do the talking most of the time. It's your country afterall."
And then Aya yawned a bit, his hand across his waist, blinking.
"..I can see why you get so tired...I need to constantly move and all of this waiting makes one..lethargic."
Aya then looked aside back to Elysia, opening his eyes- blurry then clear, "What should we do to pass the time since we have a plan?"

"I'm not sure. What do people usually do to pass the time on journeys?"

Ayalan looked aside and shrugged, "Talk, play games, decide the future, tell the future, reminisce of the past; come together and sing songs, leave and split up to join at the same area, find a new hobby, enjoy an old one."
He looked back to Elysia, "Just about anything that both people feel like doing. So let's do what you feel like doing because I've taken so much of the conversation and time."

Elysia considered the options he'd presented. "Do you know any songs?"

Ayalan blinked a bit as he tilted his head.
"I used to sing, sure," he admitted, as he looked back.
"Not..so sure if I remember most of my songs. I suppose I'd need to think about it...why do you ask?"

"I haven't heard many songs. A hummed tune here and there, an instrumental piece on a special occasion, once. Music was not part of my lessons."

Ayalan looked aside with a bit of a swallow, thinking to himself, as he opened his mouth, as if he were going to talk, but closed his mouth not knowing what to say.
"I suppose..I could sing something- but I wouldn't know..why don't you make a suggestion?" He searched the back of his mind for a song in an emergency- he hadn't sung for years now.

"I don't know any songs.. Not even folk tunes or children's play songs." She seemed sad about this.
