Unable to contain itself, the Demon bellows a bloodthirsty roar at the top of its lungs. If it was looking to hunt, it might have just scarred off all its prey before it could get started. Still it watches the Birds fly off and rabbits hop away with a pure hatred in its eyes growling and snapping its long yellow teeth.

Faey jumped nearly two feet in the air hen she heard something roar, and it didn't sound very far away. "Eep!!!!" She stood still for a moment, looking around, obviously scared and clinging to her staff, then took a deep breath. Whatever that thing was, it may have found Nintsu, he may be in trouble. I have to keep looking for him. She paused for a moment still, debating, then decided to try and keep quiet, but headed towards the source of the roar, being as careful as she could not to make any noise.

The Demon sniffs around the air using its senses to find potential prey, honing in on several creatures above. It could smell lots of fear in those above him. Those were too far for it though, there were many other choices that it had.
He could sense a large bird still hiding in its nest nearby trying to keep its young offspring from calling out and drawing attention to them. It could also sense some monkeys fleeing through the trees, and a young woman approaching it quietly, but Nintsu shouted from deep within the Demon IGNORE THAT! I WILL NOT LET YOU HURT THAT GIRL. SHE SAVED US![/i]
The Demon, overpowered momentarily by the Nintsu's will conceded victory and started to move towards the birds nest when it realized for the first time that it had not survived the fall unscathed. Its left arm and leg were broken making movement very difficult. Still, determined to feed, it hobbled slowly toward the nest.

Faey heard movement not long after the roar and slowed when she thought she would be close enough to see it, starting to go from behind tree to tree to stay out of sight, in case whatever it was was dangerous. And when she finally saw it, she decided that it had probably been a good idea. Whatever it was was huge, definitely over 10 feet tall, blue, and absolutely intimidating. Terrified by the first sight of it, she let out a small squeak and hid behind the tree. Ohmygodohmygodohmygod what is that thing?!?!?

The Demon twisted its head around, never turning its body and looked straight towards the girl. Those glaring eyes stared straight at the tree. It sniffed the air again and growled. Then it stopped, and for a split second it almost looked like there was compassion in the face of the horrid creature. The look stopped as quickly as it came and the Demon growled once more continuing as if it had never happened, and limped off once more.

Faey stayed behind the tree, internally freaking out for a minute. Ohmygodohmygod that thing is huge, what is it, where's Nintsu, OHMYGOD NINTSU! She shook her head, clearing her mind and focusing on what was most important. It doesn't matter what that thing was, I need t find Nintsu. She glanced around the tree once more, sighing silently in relief when she saw it moving away, limping strangely. She started moving away from it, stopping when she was out of sight and walking parallel to the way it had been walking, looking for her friend and trying to figure out if it would be safe for her to call for him to see if he was nearby. After a few minutes she decided to at least try, whispering, "Nintsu... Nintsu, can you hear me?"

The Demon's heightened senses heard the whispers, and smiled the strange crooked smile that only a demon with a mouth on top of its head was capable of like he was teasing the man now hidden within the Demon.
Nintsu, still fighting to control the Demon cursed himself and pleaded with the demon please, just take that bird from its nest and let me have myself again. That's all I ask, you can have the bird.[/i]
The demon gave a grunt of approval and extended its right spike and started to scale the tree with its good arm and its claws on its good leg, reaching the nest at last.
That's when the bird fought back, flying around the demon's body like a fly would on a window bombarding it and nearly knocking it to the ground.
Suddenly the Demon let go of the tree and caught the bird with the spike and shoveled it into his mouth which opened far more than it should have and he managed to swollow the creature whole.
There is a 'thud' when it hits the ground, landing on its back once again. This time, however, it is Nintsu lying on the ground, with his left arm and leg bent the wrong way, screaming in pain.

Faey jumped again when she heard Nintsu's scream, and then started to run when she realized they were coming form the same direction that huge beast thing had been. Ohgodohgodohgod please let him be alright!!! When she finally found him the beast thing seemed to be nowhere in sight, thankfully, but his left arm and leg were very badly broken. "Oh my god!" She ran to him and knelt down next to him, horrified but also relieved that he was even alive after a fall like that.
She examined his wound quickly, grimacing, and then looked at him apologetically. "Nintsu I have to move your arm and leg to get them into position to heal properly. It's going to hurt."

Nintsu couldn't help but smile, despite the pain he was in, when he saw Faeylinn standing over him. He couldn't hold it for long though and quickly returned to twisting his body in a frenzy, trying to make the pain stop. "Just do what you have to do! I can fight through the pain! I think I'm trained for this."[/i]

She nodded and grimaced, grabbing his leg first, shifting it quickly so that it was lying stright and flat the way it should be. "Hold still!" She held it still as she focused on letting her energy go into him, healing the broken bones and ripped tissue in his leg until it was healed fully. Then she moved to his arm, holding it to the ground with one hand holding his shoulder down, the other pinning his wrist and moving it quickly to position the arm the way it should be and repeating the process.
After a moment she released his wrist and shoulder, a little dizzy from healing him. "Are.. Are you alright?"

Nintsu quickly pops to his feet, either testing his body or trying to show he is alright, he nearly falls back to the ground as he does though, clearly still in pain. "I'll live,"[/i] He says, "I have to try not to make a habit out of this. You've saved me twice now. I can't keep relying on you to save me like this."[/i]

Faey smiled tiredly. "Don't worry about it. Sit down, you need to rest some, you might still not be fully healed." Then she remembered that beast thing. That thing might still be around here somewhere!!! She quickly got to her feet, trying to ignore her own fatigue. "Uh, on second thought, I think maybe we should get back up into the trees as soon as possible!"

Nintsu caught himself from asking why when he realized that he had to decide between two choices, he could speak the truth about himself and admit that he was a demon and risk being outcast, or he could try to think of another lie and agree to returning to the treetops.
For now,[/i] He thought I should return to the treetops and rest. I can decide later. I shouldn't make a decision in haste. She clearly needs to rest too anyways.[/i]
"Good Idea,[/i] He said as he smiled trying to show his appreciation, "In the village we can find a place where we can both rest. You look exhausted too. How did you get down here so quickly anyways?"[/i] He asked as he watched her trying to figure out which way would lead 'up'.

"Uhm..There was a ladder... That way somewhere." She gestured vaguely to her right, then shook her head as if to clear it. "Do you think you'll be alright to climb?" She began walking towards the direction of the ladder she'd gone down, hoping she'd be able to find it again.

We'll find out I guess"[/i] Nintsu says as he limps around looking for the ladder, being careful not to be too hard on his leg or lose sight of Faeylinn. out of the corner of his eye Nintsu spots a run down, old looking ladder next to Faeylinn with. There is some thick brush between her and the ladder though.
Maybe I can try to gauge the kind of reaction I would get with a vague question.[/i] He thought as he limped towards her.
"Is that the ladder right there? it looks pretty rickety."[/i] Nintsu said as he pointed with his right hand through the brush at the run down ladder.
