"That is another good point,"[/i] Nintsu replied.
The woman who had taken their orders returned to the table, bearing a tray with the food they ordered. She set a plate in front of each of them, with a smile that looked a little forced.
After the food was at the table, Nintsu returned to the conversation, "Just how common is magic here? I think almost everyone in The Junkyard had some amount of magic."[/i]

Faey immediately ate a slice of bacon when the woman brought the food to the table, after thanking her, of course, and then answered. "from what I've seen it's common, but not everyone has it. On Earth, no one has magic. At least, not to the extent that the people of Allorum do. There, the 'magic' is mainly people who claim to see the future, or the past, or claim to be able to communicate with the dead. There's a lot of skeptics, though, so these people are looked down on a lot, especially by highly religious people."
She paused, thinking. "If almost everyone in the Junkyard had magic.. Maybe it wasn't Earth. I mean, it still could have been, but I think someone would have heard of it, unless its some big government conspiracy." She said this last part jokingly.

"I can only remember The Junkyard as a hellish place. I have fond feelings about what I remember of Earth. It was before-"[/i] he looked around making sure nobody was listening in. After he was certain nobody was eavesdropping he leaned forward close to her and whispered, "-Before the Demon found me."[/i]
He then assumed a carefree expression and started eating, spreading the runny yoke of the eggs on his plate around before scooping it out with pieces of toast.

Faey took a bite of her own eggs, chewing for a long while and swallowing before responding. "The Demon found you?.. And you remember Earth before the Junkyard?" Already her mind was working as though she was reading a novel, going through possibilities of what could have happened, both the plausible and the absolutely ridiculous. "Hmm..."

"Yep-"[/i] He said between bites, he swallows and continues speaking, this time without any food in his mouth, "I definitely lived on earth before I woke up in the junkyard. I remember spending time in the junkyard trying to figure out what happened and where I was exactly, but I can't remember anything that I found out."[/i]
Nintsu picked up a strip of bacon and began waving it, showing his eagerness to eat, yet his determination to finish his thought before he began eating again, "I think I was a captain on earth. I remember war. Some of the same people I fought in the war were in the junkyard with me, but we all had these magic powers, and Demons inside us.[/i]
He quickly and eagerly shoved the strip of bacon into his mouth.

Faey blinked, surprised. "A war?.." Honestly, she didn't keep up with current events, so she had no clue where he could have been from that there was a war. "Well.. I think we can assume that the Demons caused the magic powers, somehow, as you got them at the same time. If you were fighting in a war before then, and then remembered some of the people in the Junkyard as people you fought with.. Something obviously happened between the war and the Junkyard. Can you remember anything from then?" She stared at him intently, still thinking of a million possibilities, most of them sounding pretty far-fetched, even to her.

Nintsu dropped a second strip of bacon he was about to eat. "I think I just remembered things that I didn't know that I knew. Wow, that sounds weird, 'know that I knew'"[/i] He
said as he trailed off into thought.
After a moment staring into space He snapped back into reality. "No, I can't remember anything specific about the war, the people I fought with or against, or the junkyard. Nothing more than what I said already at least."[/i] He said with a huge grin on his face, clearly excited that he remembered something new.

Faey smiled back, "See? Just talking about what you do remember has helped you remember more!" She happily began munching on another piece of bacon.

Nintsu couldn't really contain himself any longer. As happy as excited as he was he had to be doing something, so he began shoveling food into his mouth MUCH quicker than he was before, soon he was choking and frantically started reaching around for a drink before he realized his mistake HE HADN'T ORDERED ONE!
SURELY THE WAITRESS BROUGHT A WATER![/i] He thought as he looked around swinging his hand in a "drinking" motion trying not to cough.

Faey blinked, startled, and then realized he was choking and quickly got up and ran to the kitchen area instead of waiting for the waitress to show up. She grabbed an empty glass from a counter and a pitcher of water and ran back out, thankfully only spilling a little as she poured it and handed the glass to Nintsu, slightly panicking.

He quickly downed the glass, spilling much of it on himself as he drank it.
It wasn't long after he started drinking that he was under the table laughing uncontrollably. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, This food is SOOOOO good."[/i] he said, laughing between words.

Faey looked relieved as she poked her head under the table, looking at him with a half smile on her face. "You okay?" She laughed with him, unable to help it.

"Just....Just a minute."[/i] He replied gathering himself finally calming down.
When he finally got up out from under the table everyone in the place was looking at him.
Embarrassed, Nintsu said as he spun around looking at everyone, "Sorry everybody. I was, uh, choking."[/i]
