"I'm a little sore, but I feel great. I haven't rested that well in as long as I can remember; which isn't that long actually"[/i] Nintsu broke out laughing at the last line, nearly letting himself fall to the ground.

Faeylinn laughed with him at his joke. "Well, I'm glad you're feeling better." Her smile faded a bit and she tilted her head to the side, remembering something from when he fell yesterday. "When you fell, that was what broke your arm and leg, aye?" She remembered the beast-thing, and how he hadn't started screaming until after that thing had gone away. Maybe he was being quiet because he knew it was there.. Or maybe that thing was what did it.. I really should have asked yesterday.

"I knew this was coming."[/i] He said, suddenly getting serious. "Look, I have something to tell you. We really should sit down for this though. Come on in."[/i] Nintsu stepped back into his room, holding the door open.

She looked a little confused at his sudden mood change, but stepped inside anyways. "Okay... Is something wrong?"

"No. Nothing new anyways"[/i] He said as he shut the door behind them and sat on a chair across from Faeylinn. "I just have some things that I need to......discuss before I can continue traveling with you."[/i] He looks straight into her eyes, his face devoid of all expression. "What would you say if I had kept something about myself secret. Something Dark and Dangerous."[/i] Nintsu had thought a long time on what to say when he revealed that he was a Demon, but in the end he decided he would just wing it.

Faey was more than a little nervous by how serious he was being, and tried to lighten the mood with a joking remark and a weak grin. "What, are you an axe murderer or something?" Her smile faded and she sat on the floor, her legs tucked under her. "Well, I guess, we've all got secrets."

"Not Exactly....."[/i] He said thinking how best to describe what he was.
"Lets just start with what I have lied about before okay. My past is a mystery to me, as I said, but I haven't always been truthful with you. Do you remember when we first met? I was injured right after a gunshot remember?"[/i] He looked away for a moment, he couldn't look her in the eyes as he said this part. it was too shameful. Not waiting for a reply he continued on "I wasn't injured by a beast.[/i] He paused for a moment as he took a deep breath, preparing himself for what he had to say.
Finally he looked up at her and said "I shot myself in the arm."[/i]

Now Faey was very confused. "You shot yoursel... In the arm... Why would you do that?" Had he known she was going to show up and would be able to heal him or something?

"I shot myself to conceal a secret. thats the simple question. its hard to explain really. it was a bit of a gamble, but I knew I would live. You see, I was covered in blood, but none of it was my own. There also wasn't a body anywhere so I had no idea what any passerby would have thought. I couldn't give up my chance to find another human though, so I wasn't going to hide from you. I couldn't believe my luck when I found out that you were a healer!" Nintsu tried to smile attempting to show that he was still himself despite all of this.
This sounds awful already and I haven't even revealed the kicker yet. He thought as he paused, giving them both a moment to think.

Faey shook her head as if to clear it, obviously still very confused. "So you woke up covered in blood?.." It probably wasn't as simple as that, she knew, especially since he had mentioned a secret...

Nintsu shook his head solemnly, "No. I was covered in blood because I had just," [/i] He paused here taking a deep breath once again, as if he was struggling with the next word, "-Eaten- a beast. I left nothing of it there. There was no beast left and I didn't want whoever found me to think I was a murderer or a freak. So I tricked you."[/i]
Nintsu slumped his head down shamefully, but continued on,"That's not even the worst part either. The worst part is how I ate the animal. I am a Demon. Or there is a Demon inside me. It doesn't really matter. I don't like it, but it is there."[/i] Nintsu raises his head looking her in the eyes once more. "You saw it yesterday. I can't control it much when it takes over, but I kept it away from you. I owed you that much."[/i]

Faey blinked, absolutely shocked. "That.. Thing.. Was you?" She sat there, staring at him silently for a minute. He ATE a beast and left no trace of it? Like, ATE IT WHOLE?!? Oh gods, that beast thing was huge, and that was HIM?..
For a moment while she remembered seeing the beast/Demon/Nintsu yesterday she was terrified, thinking how huge it had been, and that roar it had let out and how he had been covered in blood when they met...

"Yes. I don't really know what to say other than yes. Its hungry ALL the time. I keep it staved off and hidden most of the time, but sometimes I can't control it. if it gets too hungry, or if I start to sense danger it takes control.[/i] Nintsu grabs both her wrists, holding her face near his, "Don't you see? that's why I jumped to the ground. I was protecting you and the village from it. I have this under control. I'm still Nintsu."[/i] He was getting frantic now. He wasn't sure what he wanted to hear. part of him thought it would be better to be hated and left alone, but another part wanted, no NEEDED forgiveness for what he was and what he had done.

Faey started, not used to having someones face close to her own. She took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down. Yesterday.. When he was the Demon.. He knew I was there, but he didn't attack. She blinked at realizing this and continued this train of thought. He jumped, which could have killed him, to protect people.. He really had been keeping it under control.. She took another deep breath and smiled at him. He's a good guy, not a Demon.
"You're very brave for fighting off the Demon when it's hungry, and for putting your own life in danger to protect others. I wish I was as brave as you."

Nintsu let out a long sigh of relief after hearing her say that. After staying silent for a moment, he realized he was still holding Her wrists. He let go and fell to his back giggling uncontrollably. "I was NOT prepared for that response!"[/i] He managed to say between spurts of laughter.
