It was cold. No really. It was FREEZING.
However, Ayalan, in his leather armor vest and normal styled cloth pants, walked out onto the field, trudging along, getting his endurance, and strength up. Earlier on, one would notice the slew of creatures, not dead, but asleep.
Aya simply kept walking though, knowing this day wouldn't be a success until his body ached, and his hands frozen to his sides, this would be the pinnacle of his journey, followed by reaching the towns of ice nearby, in order to refine his weapon.

Near the far edge of the field a woman dressed entirely in black with her face covered and two scimitars sheathed at her hips sat cross-legged with her eyes closed. Leeith was meditating before she began practice- she had not fought in over two days and needed to begin training regularly to avoid falling into a state of debility.

Ayalan trudged further on, before he looked up, seeing the blackness in the midst of the snow; he wondered how someone could bear this cold: He himself felt the pain of his joints and his eyes stung with each snowy windfall.
However, he came up to her, probably a good 10 meters away when he took off his scarf, wrapping it around his waist, and sitting down across from the mysterious girl.
He stayed silent, closing his own eyes for a moment.

Leeith had heard the person's approach- a man, she guessed from the pace- and ignored him. But it was increasingly hard to concentrate when he sat down what she estimated to be no more than 13 meters away. Irritated she continued to ignore him for a few minutes. Unable to concentrate properly, she sighed and asked, "Can I help you?" Her voice was soft but far from kind- barely civil, even.

Ayalan smirked to himself, as he looked up at Leeith, a hand on his knee, sitting in a normal lazy style.
"Perhaps. It's not everyday people like us randomly meet." He started, as he looked up, drawing his dagger, and waving it about as a tool to aid his speech, "I saw how peaceful you looked here. I wanted to follow suit, but now I think maybe that you wanted a bit of chaos to brighten your day." He tapped his head, grinning at her.

"I prefer order to chaos, and solitude to company. So if you wish to meditate kindly do it elsewhere." These last words took on an almost threatening tone, though she still did not open her eyes to so much as glance in his direction.

Ayalan laughed to himself, as a wind took him by surprised, brushing snow and hail against his bare face.
He looked back, as he stood up in front of Leeith.
He took two steps to the left, and sat back down.
Aya could only smirk at her, knowing he was pushing buttons: He almost wanted the worst to happen; he needed the training.

Leeith now opened her eyes to examine him. He's trained and armed, another assassain perhaps. "Is there something you require from me?" she asked, her irritation obvious in her blue eyes- the only part of her face that was showing.

Ayalan's outfit was well stocked: 8 chakram on one side of the belt, his exposed dagger, as well as a few hidden ones, and a crossbow on his back, frozen beyond use at the moment.
Aya's eyes were yellow in nature, but in the snow, they glowed like soft beams, as he grinned, aiming a dagger at her, from his long distance position.
"I think there is. Clearly you're someone well versed in the ways of the world and being one with it." He motioned at his weapon.
"I want to see what you have to offer." He was raring for, if not a fight, a display, as he stood up, smiling at her. Aya was very light hearted.

A swordsman stood further off along the snowy plains. The cold swept around him, but he did not shiver; he was seeking true strength, and that meant enduring elements such as these. The swordsman had been further away from Ayalan before, but when Ayalan stopped to talk to the meditating Leelth, the distance between them had closed. However, there was little doubt that the swordsman would surely be noticed now; his crimson robes caused him to stick out, as he was surrounded by completely pure whiteness. - [Shadows Approach]"..." It wasn't easy to make out at a distance, but it seemed as though both of the figured ahead of him were armed; they could be bandits. The swordsman looked around the frozen plains and rested a hand on his Killing Edge; if there were others in the area, he didn't want to be caught off-guard. However, the the two figures ahead seemed to be the only people in the immediate vicinity. "...Curious." They might not be bandits, of course. However, the law of the wilderness was that the strong survive and that the weak die out... with that in mind, the swordsman wasn't going to take any chances. "...Well, then." Having assessed his surroundings, he approached the two without faltering.

Ayalan's instinct told him that he had been in a trap once the new figure had approached, pulling off one chakram from his belt, raising an eyebrow.
"I guess when I walk into a situation, I should be more wary of my surroundings, rather than stunned by a female..." he stated to himself, grinning and shaking his head.
"I guess I've got a new challenger." He nodded to Rutger, ready for any sort of standoff, clearly now being a third party rather than a combined effort with Leeith. "Name your intention, or be struck down." He reeled his arm back as it made a slight grinding sound due to the area being so cold, a chakram ready for the toss.

The swordsman saw one of the figures reach for a weapon and kept his hand firmly pressed on the hilt of his rested Killing Edge. "..." An eerie quietness fell upon the trio. The swordsman paused and looked at Ayalan with eyes filled with resolve. It was clear that he did not take well to being strong-armed. - [Battle of Pride]"...Attack me, and blood will be spilled." At the mention of bloodshed, the swordsman became increasingly aware of the pure whiteness of the snowfield around them...

Ayalan's smile grew to a plain face, as his eyes shone yellow.
He took two steps back, and drew his crossbow, gripping the bolt before he felt the gears warm up again in his very warm hands; fire magic always was good in this situation.
Aya spoke to Rutger, " I suppose we're not talking about your own blood, hm?" He grinned, looking back to Leeith: Clearly, this was a standoff where everyone had to think, who was going to make the first move?
"I guess I'll have to do something then..." He laughed twice to himself, and the click of his crossbow was heard, where he aimed and fired between his two enemies at the moment, wanting a scatter of some sort.

Almost as soon as the shot was fired Leeith was already rolling to the side and coming up in a defensive position, holding both of her scimitars ready. "If you have a death wish then I will indulge you," she said calmly before darting forward, swinging her left scimitar at his leg and thrusting the right at the center of his chest- straightforward attacks to test his strength and speed.

Ayalan's own movement was simple in response to Leeith: He quickly did a hop, levitating in the air, as he took the kick and flew back a few feet, landing on his feet with a bit of a rough landing. However, then Aya rushed up and stopped just a few meters within Leeith, and then turned to Rutger.
He then laughed a bit, reapproaching his two rivals at the moment.
"A death wish? You jest." He held up his crossbow again. "I simply wanted a battle." Aya's next move was to snap his fingers, teleporting behind them both.
