"Well then, I guess this is where I say goodbye..." Brea turned around to look at Alta and cocked his head to the side, inquisitively.
"What are you talking about, Alta..? You may as well come with us! You'd be a great help against Duo, and you know it!" He smiled weakly, but his oldest friend simply shook her head as she took a step up to Brea and placed a single hand against his cheek.
"My, how you've grown, Brea... I remember when you were just a young boy who barely came up to my shoulders, and here's me barely reaching yours..." She smiled softly, looking up at him.
"I remember when you had hair like fire as well!" He retorted, trying to uphold his weak smile.
"Aha... An effect of living down here, I'm afraid... There's lots of dark magic floating about, and I guess this is simply how my body reacted... Listen, Brea. The Angels were sent down here to find Kain, not me. No matter who were to plead my case, they wouldn't let me leave Hellious, I won't be able to leave so long as the Angels are here with you." She moved her hand away from his face and took a step back. "Perhaps... Perhaps if you came another time..." Brea nodded slowly with a small sigh.
"Perhaps..." He muttered. Alta reached to her waist, and untied the dark black sword that she had been using, before holding it out for Brea to take. The blonde looked confused. "Wh-what are you doing..?"
"This is Drac. It was forged nearly five thousand years ago here in Hellious. Demons had been fighting over it for millennia before I came along and showed them how a Heretic fights. It's a damn good sword, and it should serve you well." She pushed the sword forwards slightly, and Brea took it gratefully, before reaching down to untie Ryu from his waist, but Alta stopped him. "Keep Ryu as well... I don't want to risk that getting lost down here. I'll find some other sword to use..." She took another step back, aiming to allow the others to leave, but Brea quickly took two quick strides and pulled her into a hug.
He could feel her tears running into his shoulder.
"Come back for me, Brea."
She pulled away from him, before standing on her toes and kissing him softly. She took two more steps away from the swordsman who simply nodded. He tied Drac to his waist along with his other two swords and turned away from his oldest friend, heading towards the portal.
He wanted to get the hell out of here.

Kain looked back at Alta and back at Brea - the idea of leaving an ally behind shocked Kain, for he himself knew the horrors she would have to face.
Perhaps it was because his mind was so groggy, but he couldn't think of any sort of elaborate way to get her out. Kain looked back at Alta and bowed his head, "We'll be back."
That was all he said before turning away from Alta and stepping through the portal. On the other side of Hellious was, well, 'like Hellious' - despite the astounding kill Romulus did it didn't seem to stop the inflow of the demons, nor did it strike any sort of fear into these mindless creatures.
Mindless as they may be, the entrance of the others seemed to catch their attention. They recognized the power of Odin, and they weren't going to stop until they put him back in his cage.
"Allow me to clear the way..." Kain growled, feeling like it was finally time to pay these demons back for the torture they provided. He stepped ahead of the group, summoning along the power of Odin.
Lightning crackled around Kain before unleashing itself onto the oncoming enemies. Hundreds of lightning bolts every second quickly cut them down. With reinforcements still coming it was vital that they get to the warship as soon as possible.

"Don't worry yourself with this rabble, Kain..." Brea said as he stepped forwards, his eyes glinted with a fierce determination, Brea Cao-Wei suddenly had something more to fight for. Not only could he refuse to die because of his oath to Benjamin, he now also had sworn to return for Alta. He looked down at his waist, at the three swords which now hung there and gave a grim smile. "I'll handle these. You just focus on getting to the ship." He reached down to his waist with his left hand, and grasped a single sword between each of his fingers, before unsheathing all three in one hand and holding them up so that they crossed against his face, his other hand curling into a claw like shape in front of his left wrist.
'I don't have any techniques for three swords... Only one way to earn some.'
His golden aura flared up with a high-pitched roar before he charged forwards, swinging his left arm down so that the swords dragged through the ground behind him, churning up dirt and grit in all directions as he shot forwards like a lightning bolt, getting closer and closer to the hordes of demons. He gave a short smirk.
'Quick, Brea... Think of a cool-ass name for this move...'
He suddenly leaped up in to the air, all of his aura suddenly gathering around the three swords in his hand. With an almighty roar, he soared down towards the demons below.
"Doragon Tsume Doroppu!" (Dragon Claw Drop)[/i]
He hit the ground, sending up a giant plume of golden energy soaring out in all directions, instantly killing the demons in Brea's immediate vicinity. Those who survived all turned their attention on him, the swordsman holding the blades back up to his face as he gave a slightly dark grin.
"Alright... Let's dance..."

Not yet. Not yet. Not...
While the battle outside of Romulus' protective field continued on, inside there was peace and silence, save only for the soft mutterings of the pitch-covered humanoid. Yet as someone shouting over a roaring crowd only to be caught in a brief moment in silence, the at-last audible sound of his own voice caused him to give pause to his mantra. The inky field subsided, slowly ebbing as the stillness of the area persisted. Only when its last frothing flow of power had vanished from sight did Zeke's form peek out from its shroud.
There was no movement, none of the enthusiastic energy that the young Japanese man usually displayed. His eyes were shut, his lips pursed, and with the ooze no longer there to drive his body forward, much less hold it up he collapsed to the ground, face first.

As the group charged through the demented demons and towards the warship, Mark couldn't help but feel like he had lost so much in this battle. Yeligar, Ingway, Zeke-
Suddenly Mark tripped over a body, sliding headfirst into the ground. At first he thought that it was just a dead demon, but when he turned to get a better look he noticed it was Zeke.
"Sleeping on the job, Omoihake..." Mark sighed before picking up the young man and looking back at the warship, "Quickly everyone, before we get boxed in!"
Mark quickly boarded the warship, "Prepare to sail, we're getting the HELLIOUS out of here!" The crew did as commander, within the next couple minutes they would be on their way out...

They were heading back to the ship but Shanira had no plans on leaving Hellious until Zeke was found, even if that meant everyone had to leave without her and she had to retrace their steps over and over again. Her eyes darted around trying to take in every inch of hell's scenery as they charged along, just hoping for a glimpse of the dark-haired man and moreso hopefully still alive.
As the warship came back into sight, Shanira yelped as Mark tripped in front of her, though not at all because he tripped but because the body he tripped over she recognized. And for the briefest of moments, the guardian's heart stopped. Mark's comment as he scooped up the young man didn't sit well with Shanira as she felt a prickling of anger bubble up in her neck but she followed him closely onto the ship, saving her thoughts for when they were actually back in place.
"Commander! He's a respectable captain, he doesn't just sleep on the job, especially when the king needs him," she snapped once on the ship and immediately made to pull Zeke away from Mark, "h-he's alive, right?! Give him to me, I'll look after him!"
She wasn't much for healing, but she was comfortable at least?

"Oh I'm sure he was devising some grand plan for king and country," Mark said as he gently put Zeke down, he could tell the boy had been through a lot and despite his outward words he feared for his safety, "Once we get this thing moving I'll be able to properly check on him..."
His eyes drifted across his crew as they all entered the warship... he turned to Zaria, at first not wanting to say the words that would leave behind his friend, but their mission needed to succeed...
"Captain Zaria, get us the hell out of here..." Mark said grimly as Hellious seemed to fall apart around them.

As Mark set Zeke down Shanira immediately pushed in, sitting herself down and pulling the captain into her lap. Her arms wrapped around him and Shanira sat protectively cuddling Zeke, trying to keep her mind off of the 'what-if' scenarios she'd face if she were to go back to the castle in Santo-Luce and tell Alexander she failed to look after his love.
"I'm sorry, Master..." she said aloud, the presumed 'fearless' warrior showing a face and heavy tone of guilt and worry as she ran her fingers through Zeke's hair.
"Please be okay..."
She wasn't supposed to make mistakes like this! So she wasn't going to anymore, anyway. Ohhh no.

"Oh, such melodrama." Romulus voice quipped from behind Mark and Shanira as they fretted and watched over the young man. "Do you really think me sooooooo incompetent that I would let unnecessary harm come to my good 'ol friend?"
Along with the silver haired scientist, Ingway stood behind the two, all to readily running forward to his ally and examining him him head to toe, using what experience he had in tending to his own injuries to try and perceive what might be wrong with the unconscious japanese man, but with not so much as a bruise or cut on the lads immaculate body to give sign to his duress, Ingway simply ignored such things as "why" and "how" and was simply grateful that Zeke was alive.
"I assure you that young Mister Zeke is in tip top condition...well, aside from the whole unconsciousness thing. Yes, I think Zeke is going to be juuuuuuuuuust fine!" Assured Romulus in his usual matter of fact tone before turning to Mark with a coy look as he opened his mouth to resume conversation. "So, Mr. Fri, where might our next stop be...and don't worry, I already know, but I'm sure everyone else here is oh so curious as to where this adventure shall lead to next."

Shanira stayed where she was, allowing anyone to look over Zeke to ensure he was alright but had no intention of leaving the unconscious man's side even though the strange silver-haired fellow spoke like he knew everything and said Zeke would be okay. She wasn't quite sure what a 'melodrama' was, or an 'unnecessary' for that matter, but she assumed it had something to do with him being a jackass simply because of his tone of voice.
She narrowed her eyes at Romulus, spitting out a quick, "Dosha bre" before whipping her head away and continuing to pet the unconscious captain, her words meaning nothing to everyone else but from an angel's point of view, it was the equivalent of 'fuck off'.

"Sanken; Doragon Basuuto!" (Three-Sword; Dragon Burst)[/i][/size]
Brea burst forwards, zig-zagging in between demons, with his 'claw' outstretched. The three blades in his hand sliced deep into the flesh of the foes before him as he steadily made his way to the boat, having seen that the others had made it aboard. Making sure to stop before he reached the warship because Gods forbid he cut straight through it. Turning to face the demons still there, he grinned. Looking at the three swords, he stretched his neck slightly and pointed them up to the sky.
"Sanken; Sandaa Kurakku!" (Three-Sword; Thunder Crack)[/i]
He thrust the swords down, three golden streaks trailing after the blades, before they slammed into the ground, launching out the three arcs in separate direction, flinging demons in every and all directions. Brea took the opportunity to leap up and onto the ship.
"Alright. Can we go yet?"

Ramirez drew sigils that would explode with either fire, ice, wind or rocks when the demons touched it. Ramirez finally got on the ship making sure he got all of his books. "Yes Mark, every second we are here, we lose .7% of surviving this ordeal." Ramirez said as he looked at the demons.

Kain - who understood Shanira perfectly - stepped up to her, placed one hand on her shoulder and said, "Be calm, Guardian. We'll be out of harms way soon..."
He stepped up to Romulus, eyes meeting eyes for a moment before Kain shook his head, "No you don't. Not truly..."
Kain stepped up, it was like he could almost feel the fresh air of freedom ahead. The feeling was like no other.

Shanira's eyes widened in surprise at Kain's understanding her, or rather she didn't think he really did until he referred to her by title, and one of which she hadn't actually properly introduced herself as to anyone here yet. As she knew it only Zeke should have known who she was and even he, just as Alexander, was now just starting to understand what--and who--she truly was. It was this stranger's immediate knowledge of her that piqued her interest, her angry eyes softening quickly into quizzical ones as her attention divided itself between Zeke and Kain.
"How do you...? Do you know me?" she asked, head tilting to the side, "Who are you?"
She didn't know him, this much she was sure.

Kain looked back at Shanira as the warship began to move, with a soft breeze running around the deck as the tunnel from before opened up, allowing small gusts from above to enter.
"Dalu theirto," which came out as, 'my dear', "I know everything."
No doubt about it. Kain Angelo was back.
